Virgin voyages cruises — Chicago, IL

While Chicago itself isn't a major cruise port for Virgin Voyages, if you're looking at cruises departing from nearby ports like those in Florida or New York, the cheapest months are generally September, October, and January. These periods fall outside of peak vacation times and often have lower demand.

Virgin Voyages offers unique itineraries often focused on the Caribbean, Mexico, and the Mediterranean. Top choices frequently include sailings to Bimini (The Beach Club at Virgin Voyages), Cozumel, and then longer European voyages to places like Barcelona or Rome. The 'top 5' depends on your travel style and desired destination.

Virgin Voyages is positioned as a premium, adult-exclusive cruise line with a focus on elevated experiences. While not the cheapest option, their pricing often includes gratuities, specialty dining, and basic beverages, which can offer good value compared to other lines where these are add-ons. Look for their 'Sail Away' deals.

Generally, the cheapest months to cruise are during the shoulder seasons: April to May and September to October. January and February (outside of holidays) can also offer good deals. These times often see fewer crowds and lower demand, translating to more affordable fares on Virgin Voyages.

Virgin Voyages stands out with its adult-only policy, modern design, and emphasis on unique entertainment and dining. They include gratuities, Wi-Fi, and essential drinks in their base fare, simplifying the cost. Their ships are designed with a boutique hotel vibe, offering a distinct experience from traditional cruise lines.
